Here goes Curren$y performing track #2 off Pilot Talk.
Not much going on today for leaks or new shit. I personally am waiting for that Jadakiss, The Champ is Here pt. 3 to drop on LiveMixtapes.com… Only 4 more hours until it drops!!!! Well about the video, drake kicked a verse from a new song off the upcoming Thank Me Later last night at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, NY.
STS grabbed the Mic and kicked a few bars at the Mel D. Cole (villageslum) & Etnies sneaker release party recently with the Money Making Jam Boys. I included a bunch of pictures but you can get all of them at HighSnobiety.
Judging by some of the guests in attendance, (Denzel, etc.) the party and the sneaker launch were a huge success.
Remember the rest of the photos are @ HighSnobiety. There were far too many to include!
For those of you having trouble waiting for Ski Beatz “24 hour Karate School”, the video geniuses at CreativeControl put together this video of performances. Check out this live performance from Ski Beatz , his Ninjas (Stalley and Rugz D. Bewler), and his Sensei’s (Daru on drums, Brady on bass, John on guitar) captured by Creative Control as they execute choice cuts (whoopish whoopish) from the forthcoming project at a recent secret show at Cameo in Brooklyn.
This is the very first time that drake has performed the second verse of the intro to his upcoming album. incase you dont remember the first verse, here it is as well (performed at a different time).
The video is about 5:10 seconds, and Lupe Fiasco rips it on a freestyle during a performance in Boston @ the house of blues.
Pusha and Ryan Leslie drop a popular demand freestyle.
Pharoahe Monch look soo blowed in the video thumbnail.
I put this together out of love for Pharoahe Monch’s talent. I’ve known Monch for more than 15 years and since the first time I heard him spit I knew how incredible he was. It’s interesting how we met, it was due to a tragic occurrence the death of Paul C the talented producer who left the world way to soon. Monch and Prince Poetry were in a band called STP (Simply To Positive) that Paul had produced. I liked their stuff and they went on to become the seminal group Organized Konfusion a few seasons later.
I always thought Monch and OK were outstanding. His level of rapping was light years ahead of most and still is. Once upon a time I tried to sign Monch to my label Stimulated but he got away. I always wondered if Loud the machine that was my distributor at the time would have gotten behind Simon Sez would he have gotten the recognition he deserved.
I saw him tear it down at this year’s SXSW I can’t wait to hear W.A.R the record he called unapologetically lyrical and the best cohesive lyrical record he’s ever done.
Sounds good to me. Let the countdown begin.
This footage is live at Paid Dues this last weekend. vi
