Atlanta rapper and D4L frontman Shawty Lo was killed in a car accident in Atlanta early Wednesday morning. According to Atlanta Journal-Constitution Shawty Lo was ejected from the car he was traveling in when the car jumped a guardrail and hit a tree. Two other passengers were injured but are expected to be okay. RIP Shawty Lo aka King Of Bankhead.
As time has passed the mystery of what would happen to Kodak Black and his legal teams has grown into worries that could be bad but today we finally have some answers. On Monday, Kodak Black was sentenced to 120 days in jail for two drug charges. According to the Sun Sentinel, the 19-year-old pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of possession of 20 grams or less of marijuana, as well as one misdemeanor charge of use or possession of marijuana paraphernalia; however, the report states that Kodak will not have to serve the full four months as he will be credited with the time he already served in jail.
The sad story of Bobby Shmurda and the young bright talent’s legal troubles is still ongoing but we at least have a answer as to when he will finally be released. He’ll accepted seven years with another five years probation. Shmurda’s lawyer, Alex Spiro said that “His sentence of 7 years, with credit for 2 years already served and good time credit will hopefully permit him to be home in approximately 3 ½ years and resume his remarkable career. This plea also covers a separate Bronx Indictment.”
News has broken out that Kanye West and Pusha T have decided to expand the G.O.O.D. Music roster by adding Tyga and Migos to the team. Tyga is a full signee to the label while the Migos have joined with just a management deal. The Migos are still signed to Quality Control and 300 Entertainment for recording purposes, it seems. So this is kind of like Wale’s management deal with Roc Nation despite being signed to Maybach Music Group.
