Joey took to his Twitter yesterday and revealed that he will be releasing a new project, Summer Knights EP on June 12th.

You read that title correctly, Lil Wayne’s Cash Money Records has signed Paris Hilton. Not sure to sure what to think about this but she says she wants to release a follow up album to her horrific 2006 effort. I would love to hear what Nicki Minaj has to say about this signing since she is the queen and only female of Cash Money.

After announcing that he was going to move his sophomore album, Born Sinner up a week to release the same day (June 18th) as Kanye’s also recently announced Yeezus album, everybody thought J. Cole was a little crazy. The NC born rapper instead says he is just a natural competitor and wants to go up against the best. Speaking with Billboard on the subject here is what Cole had to say:

Instantly the lightbulb [turned on]… it got real. I made one phone call to somebody that would know, just to make sure first. As soon as I got it confirmed, I was like, ‘Yo…’ The idea hit me instantly: ‘You got to go to that date.’ I’m not going to sit [here]… I worked too hard to come a week later after Kanye West drops an amazing album. It’d be like, ‘Oh and J.Cole dropped too, a week later.’ Nah. I’m going to go see him on that date. He’s the greatest. So it’s like, I’m a competitor by nature so it was instant, it wasn’t even a thought. It’s a definite statement about how I feel about my album, which is confident. At the same time, let’s not forget this is Kanye West. He bets 100, 1,000, whatever the perfect is. His track record is flawless. I’m only expecting an incredible album from him. But I know what I have.

After giving us plenty of new music videos the past few weeks leading up to the release of the project ATL duo FKi (1stDown & Rich) drop their much anticipated new mixtape Transformers N The Hood 2. With plenty of their signature sound called Zooly on the tape this is definitely a perfect tape to party too but also chill too.
