According to Atlanta’s Channel 2 Action News, Rich Homie Quan’s father was shot multiple times at the barbershop he owns in northwest Atlanta earlier today. His father, who also acts as his manager, was inside of the barbershop when an unknown assailant walk into the shop and opened fire shooting him four times. Corey Lamar, Quan’s father, was rushed to an Atlanta-area hospital in critical condition but is expected to survive. This is not good news for Rich Homie after having a good day with the release of the Rich Gang: The Tour mixtape a few hours ago.
A-Game drops off a video today taking us back to their Boarding Pass mixtape that dropped last year. The opening number “It’s Been A Minute” produced by WondaGurl is the chosen track to get a matching visual.
The A$AP Mob has decided to scrap their highly anticipated and oft-delayed compilation album L.O.R.D.. But with bad news also comes good news from the Mob as they reveal that in October we will be getting a solo project from A$AP Nast and new A$AP Rocky material some time this fall. Although we would of loved to hear that compilation project hearing that some new music is on the way is just as good. Be on the lookout for the new tunes here when they drop.
The Migos and Rich The Kid are gearing up to release another edition of their Streets On Lock mixtape series real soon. No release date is known yet but they did however reveal the cover art that can be seen above. Streets On Lock 4 is obviously not going to be a project you want to miss out on so continue to check back here as more details arise.
Future is dropping a brand new mixtape next month. Yes you read that correctly. Today Future Hendrix announced that he will be releasing his new mixtape, Monster, on October 28th and it will feature all new songs. He first plans on releasing the music video for the project’s title track on October 3rd so make sure to check that out when it arrives. After releasing his album Honest earlier this year to high praise, Future decides to work with producer Metro Boomin extensively again and he will also serve as an executive producer for the tape. With his new project See Me On Top 4 out now, K.R.I.T. focuses his attention back on his upcoming album Cadillactica. Today we get to find out the official release date for the album as Big K.R.I.T. releases a video announcing that we can pick up the project on November 11th. Key! has been on a terror lately releasing plenty of good new music and it looks like there is more on the horizon. Key! has linked with our favorite one of our favorite producers FKi for a collaborative mixtape appropriately titled FKEYi. The upcoming project will include a total of six tracks with features coming from iLoveMakonnen, Saucelord Rich, ManManSavage and more. We have a feeling this project is going to be crazy filled with some bangers to add to our daily playlist. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony is planning on recording and releasing one final album and then selling it to the highest bidder similar to Wu-Tang Clan. Bone’s manager Steve Lobel detailed the group’s plans in a interview with HipHopDX. This is definitely interesting as the group thinks they can get $10 million dollars for the album, if not from a true Bone Thugs fan then from a rich person who buys expensive things just because. With Wu-Tang already pulling off the concept, Bone is simply stating they think they hold the same weight as the Wu in hip hop history. Young Thug spoke with MTV News recently and said that he would like to name his debut album Tha Carter VI if Wayne doesn’t take the title first.
