Today at around 4pm EST in Downtown Atlanta, there was an altercation between groups affiliated with Atlanta’s two biggest Rappers Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy that got so out of hand it forced the closure of Walter’s Clothing for around 30 minutes.
Allegedly when the members of Gucci’ crew (So Icey Ent.) walked into the store, they saw some members of long opposing rapper Young Jeezy’s associates (CTE). An eye witness Patrick Morrison recounted, “There was a physical altercation inside the location between several men,” Atlanta Police spokesman James Polite confirmed. One of the men produced a weapon “and as a result a private armed security guard of a local entertainer discharged his weapon.”
ATL Police spokesman James Polite said that guard has since been detained.
Witnesses unanimously reported that the fighting was intense. “They just started going at it,” said Morrison, a Walter’s employee.
Morrison said he was told that one of the men involved in the fight was Waka Flocka, aka Juaqin Malphurs, a member of Gucci Mane’s 1017 Brick Squad. His pseudonym alludes to the sound of cocking a semi-automatic pistol. Waka Flocka was recently the victim of a robbery in which he was shot but not critically injured when a pair of thugs wanted his jewelery at a Bubble Bath car wash off old National Highway.
“Whoever he is he’s got a big swollen eye now,” Morrison said.
Meanwhile, Gucci Mane, aka Radric Davis, is serving time at the Fulton County jail for a probation violation. He is set to be released in May. Neither Young Jeezy or Gucci Mane have made any official statements. At this time Malphurs a.k.a Waka Flocka Flame has also not released a statement either.
