This is probably the most anticipated piece of music for 2013 and Rick Ross decides to reveal only the artwork at this point for his upcoming single. The track produced by K.E. On The Track and featuring Jay Z will most definitely will not disappoint with the combo of artists and producer involved. Although Ross pushed back the release of Mastermind, we are still hoping “The Devil Is A Lie” drops real soon. Check back here for details as they arise.
To once again celebrate his birthday and now also pay tribute to Pimp C, Jay Z decides to add a never before heard verse from the late and great Houston rapper to his track “Tom Ford”. This is the second time the two have hooked up over a Timbaland production the first being “Big Pimpin” from 1999.
Take a listen to the “Tom Ford” remix after the jump.
This is absolutely awesome. Jay Z on his 44th birthday posted a picture on his Life + Times site of his solo albums stacked in a particular order. Hov decided to rank his twelve solo albums and give comments on each of the projects. Great to see a rapper be able to be so honest about their own work and mishaps over the years.
Check out the list with Jay’s comments after the jump and let us know if you agree with or would change the order at all.
Today Jay Z, Hova, Jigga Man, Sean Carter whatever name you want to call him is celebrating his 44th birthday and we wanted to show some appreciation for the “more sicker M.C.” from NY. One of our favorite tracks from Jay is “December 4th” which appeared on his supposed retirement project The Black Album. This video, if you never knew, was made by Beyonce alongside Jay’s family and friends as a surprise which then was played for him at one of his birthday parties. Watch the clip after the jump but more importantly let’s all pay some respect to the man who paved the way for a lot of these rappers today. <>
Jay Z’s Life + Times put up this picture of Hov making another power move yesterday by signing Jeezy Roc Nation under a management partnership deal. After not being happy with Def Jam recently, we think this is a great move for both sides especially with assuming Jeezy is bringing DBCO with him. Hopefully this will not affect the release of #ItsThaWorld 2 which is due out next week on November 27th.
After previewing this last month, Timbaland drops of his newest single “Know Bout Me” that features an intro from Hov, a double-time verse from Drake and a singing outdo from James Fauntleroy. The track will appear on Timbaland’s upcoming album, Textbook Timbo. We are hoping this may not be a final version and we will get to hear a verse from Jay (we can dream).

Jay Z has partnered with Barneys for a limited edition clothing line that will feature collaborations from Lanvin, Balenciaga, Balmain, Proenza Schouler, Rick Owens and Moncler. The collection will be available from November 20th to January 2, 2014. A quarter of the proceeds will benefit the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation. Here is what Jay had to say about the partnership:
“With this project, Barneys New York and I were able to take the slickness, energy, and innovation of New York City and translate that into quality, timeless pieces. Everything that encompasses ‘A New York Holiday’—the items chosen, the amazing designers that participated, the windows, the design of the BNY SCC Gallery—represents a perfect example of a unique and groundbreaking collaboration that I hope demonstrates how inspiring New York has been to me.”
Take a look at a few of the pieces after the jump and start saving your money now because November 20th will be here before you know it.

Academy Award winning filmmaker Ron Howard and Jay Z teamed up to create a documentary film that recalls Jay Z’s rise to stardom and the preparations that go into creating his Made In America music festival. The film will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7 and then make its television premiere October 11 on Showtime.
Jay Z unleashes the first set of visuals from his highly acclaimed and already platinum album Magna Carta Holy Grail. Seeing as how we would like to see a visual for every track off this album (fingers crossed), it’s only right he starts it off with the opening track featuring Justin Timberlake.
