Though Walking Legend is his fifth mixtape in less than two years (not counting his digitally-retailed 2013 album, Trappin Ain’t Dead), Fredo Santana’s still primarily associated with a song on which he doesn’t actually show up. When Lil Reese snarled, “Fredo in the cut, that’s a scary sight!” on Chief Keef’s “I Don’t Like,” Fredo was instantly immortalized in drill folklore. But I’d wager that the vast majority of listeners who’ve shouted that line a hundred times would be hard-pressed to name more than a couple Fredo Santana songs, if any. Over the last couple years, the face-tatted rapper has been known as a streetwearmuse, a meme, and a musicvideovillain (the latter of which he unexpectedly nailed), but the music itself has rarely received the same kind of attention. In part, this is due to the relatively narrow scope through which national media’s tended to cover drill. But despite a generous handful of great one-offs over the past few years—“Beef,” “Rob My Plug,” “My Lil Niggas”—none of his full-length projects ever felt like he was fully invested.

With Fredo’s Walking Legend being released earlier today, there is already a standout from the project that we wanted to share. The Young Chop produced track, “Riot”, includes Fredo dabbling with some auto tune with Childish Gambino coming at the end and laying a hot verse. Mixtape: Fredo Santana – Walking Legend

Today Fredo Santana finally drops his highly anticipated project Walking Legend. With a total of 14 tracks, some of which we have heard as leaks over the last few months, the features come from Chief Keef, Lil Durk, Childish Gambino, Gino Marley and more. While we get to hear production from Metro Boomin, Young Chop, Will-A-Fool, Dirty Vans and plenty more. This is definitely worth checking out.

News: Fredo Santana – Walking Legend (Tracklist)

Fredo Santana is preparing to release his next body of work, Walking Legend, in the near future and while we have only seen a cover so far today that changes. Fredo reveals the back cover and full tracklist for the forthcoming project. With a total of 14-tracks the features will be coming from Chief Keef, Lil Durk, Childish Gambino, Lil Reese and more. While on the production side there are contributions from Zaytoven, Will-A-Fool, Young Chop and Metro Boomin along with others. See the full list below and be prepared to receive the project very soon.
